L’Istituto di Ricerca sulla Geografia della Innovazione Territoriale – IRGIT è composto dai seguenti organismi di governance:
PRESIDENTE
svolge le seguenti attività:
- convoca le riunioni degli organismi di governance;
- definisce le linee guida di indirizzo e di ricerca di concerto con il Direttore;
- presenzia nelle manifestazioni culturali ed istituzionali;
- svolge attività istituzionale di rappresentanza per l’Istituto;
- cura e gestisce le relazioni istituzionali ed accademiche dell’Istituto;
- propone, insieme al Direttore, attività scientifiche e culturali per l’Istituto;
- propone e conferisce, di concerto con il Direttore, deleghe funzionali per l’Istituto ai componenti degli organi di governance;
- propone e designa, di concerto con il Direttore, membri del Comitato Scientifico.
VICEPRESIDENTE
supporta il Presidente e svolge tutte le funzioni di quest’ultimo in sua vece
DIRETTORE
svolge le seguenti attività:
- di concerto con il Presidente definisce e coordina i Piani Annuali di Ricerca;
- coordina il Comitato Scientifico;
- ottimizza i piani di lavoro dell’Istituto;
- monitora e ottimizza la pianificazione di progetti di ricerca;
- cura la disseminazione dei risultati delle ricerche dell’Istituto;
- gestisce, di concerto con il Presidente, le relazioni con il mondo accademico ed imprenditoriale;
- organizza le attività scientifiche e culturali dell’istituto;
- propone al Presidente deleghe funzionali per l’Istituto da assegnare ai componenti degli organi di governance;
- propone al Presidente i membri del Comitato Scientifico dell’Istituto.

Componenti degli organi di governance dell’Istituto IRGIT:
Vittorio Amato is Full Professor of Political and Economic Geography in the Department of Political Science, University of Naples "Federico II"
He was previously Director of the Department for the Analysis of Territorial and Environmental Dynamics and Chair of the Courses in Political Sciences.
Daniela La Foresta is currently Associate Professor of Territorial Marketing in the Department of Political Science, at the University of Naples “Federico II”.
Prof. La Foresta’s areas of expertise includes an interdisciplinary approach to a broad range of development issues. She is also the Chair of the Joint Committee for the students and the Professors, as well as the Erasmus Project Coordinator of the Department.
Stefano de Falco is Chief of IRGIT, Research Institute of Territorial Geographical Innovation and Chief of CeRITT, Research Centre for Innovation and Technology Transfer of University of Naples Federico II and he is President of AICTT (Italian Association for Technology Transfer Culture promotion).
His research interests concern the modelling and testing of geography of innovation.

Vittorio Amato is Full Professor of Political and Economic Geography in the Department of Political Science, University of Naples "Federico II"
He was previously Director of the Department for the Analysis of Territorial and Environmental Dynamics and Chair of the Courses in Political Sciences.
Filippo Bencardino is an Full Professor of Economics and Politics in the Department of Economics and Business at the University of Sannio. His activity particularly concerned the analysis of political and economic correlations that act on the territory, aimed at the definition of regional development policies.
Since december 2015 he has been the Chairman of the Italian Geographic Society.
Salvio Capasso is head of the Business and Territory Economy office, at SRM - Intesa Sanpaolo Group. He has conducted much research on economy, especially on agroindustry, textile and apparel, tourism, aerospace, automotive, and no-profit sector in collaboration with research centers and international universities.
He has been the guest speaker at numerous conferences, meetings and seminars nationally and internationally.
He has authored scientific essays and articles published in scientific and technical journals.

Angela Di Grandi is Manager at Istat Regional Office for Campania. She coordinates the production steps of data entrusted to the Regional Office by activating, constantly and in all areas of competence, initiatives aimed at dematerialization, interconnection and detection telematics of data.
He developed both in the demographic and social sectors, and in the economic and social sectors environmental, process innovations sometimes raising the completeness and timeliness of the harvest data and attenuation of the load on the respondents and on the detection intermediates.
Giovanna Galeota Lanza has a degree in European studies and a master's degree in internationalization of small and medium enterprises. She is currently a research fellow at the University of Salerno, at the Geography Chair.
She is visiting lecturer in Economic Geography at the University of Naples Federico II.

Alfonso Morvillo graduated with honors in "Economics-Maritime Science" in 1982 at the Naval University Institute of Naples (now "Parthenope" University).
In 1984 he was employed at the Institute for Tertiary Research of the National Research Council, which since May 2003 has been Director.
His scientific interests are related to the following topics: Intermodality, Logistics and Supply Chain Management; Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Tourism and Cultural Heritage; Local Development. He has been the Head of several European, national and regional research projects, commissioned by private companies as well.
He is a member of many scientific committees including the Editorial Board of the CNR and the Study Commission for enhancing research and cooperation with SMEs. From 2000 to 2004 he was a member of the Maritime and Freight Transport Program Committee of the Association for European Transport Conference. It is also in C.d.A. of the TEST Scarl Company and of the PROMOS Research Consortium. He is author of numerous volumes, essays and articles on national and international magazines.
Stefania Palmentieri is a Confirmed Researcher at the Department of Political Science, University of Naples Federico II. She teaches Geography at the Courses for Bachelor Degree of Classical Literature, Archaeology and History of Arts, Culture and Administration of Cultural Heritage, History in the Department of Humanities at the same University.
Her research activity is mainly oriented to topics concerning Regional Planning, Urban Geography, Landscape Management, Environmental Resource Management and Cultural Heritage.
Alessandro Panaro. Transport Economist, he is Head of Maritime & Mediterranean Economy Dept. at SRM, Research Center related to Intesa Sanpaolo Banking Group.
He is also member of the International Propeller Club, member of GEI (an Italian Association of Economists) and member of the Italian Association of Transport and Logistics Economists (SIET).
He is member of Scientific Committee of Soslog (Association for the Sustainable Logistics).
Lucia Simonetti is PhD in Geopolitics and Geoeconomy.
She is actually Researcher in the Department of Political Science of University Federico II in Naples and she carries out research for major research centers as SRM (Studi e Ricerche per il Mezzogiorno).
